Empower a Hardworking Student's Journey to Fisk University

I'm currently 20 years old and have fallen on hard times. I was previously providing care for my mother and attending school. As a result, I had to put my college goals on the back burner; my mother needed me.
On March 1, 2024, my beloved mother had a seizure while we were dining at a restaurant. She was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, she did not survive the events that took place that day. My mom paid her rent for several months in advance, so I was able to stay in our apartment until I had exhausted all prepaid rent. My mother's estranged husband refused to take care of her cremation services, so I had to spend all the money I had to take care of my mother's cremation so I could receive her ashes.
Afterwards, I had no other choice than to seek help from a homeless shelter until my aunt found me and welcomed me into her home. Since staying with my aunt, I have addressed my mental and physical health needs and found a part-time job in a local retail store. My aunt encouraged me to apply to colleges to continue my education and pursue my career goals.
I have been accepted to Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee for fall 2025. I was even awarded an academic scholarship. This opportunity will be life-changing for me. However, I don't have the money to furnish my dorm, pay housing fees, or even provide for myself while there. I am working, but in this economy, a part-time retail job is not enough! I appreciate any and all help. Please help me with a monetary donation.
