Empower a girl
We are making reusable period products for girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. Many girls do not have access to pads and have to miss school month after month. In some villages, the lowest quality sanitary pads cost $1.20 a pack, which is more than what a family may earn in a week.
We are producing period kits for girls.
Each period kit includes:
- Reusable menstrual pads
- Waterproof washable pouch (to carry a clean pad and bring back a soiled pad)
- Drying strap that can attach several pads for drying
We are partnering with non-profits in Comoros, Uganda, Tanzania, Botswana and Ghana to distribute period kits. We have volunteers sewing reusable pads and pouches.
