Empower a Future Leader: A Dream to Study Abroad in Athens
Donation protected
Ever since I was a child, my dreams were to see the world and help people. Once I got to college and heard about the opportunity to study abroad, I immediately took my chances to apply. I chose DEREE (the American College of Athens) because of its academic opportunities and the chance to learn a third language, and to gain the skills I need to make a difference on an international level.
However, this process hasn’t been easy. In total, I've applied and been accepted three times to three different universities, but each time, I was unable to attend due to financial barriers and not receiving enough scholarship support.
Still, I believe everything happens for a reason. With each setback, and only having one semester left of undergrad, I've found new determination to pursue my dreams. I’ve been working two jobs to save up as much as I can while also applying to as many scholarships as possible. I know that this study abroad experience will open doors for me—not just for my career, but in achieving my lifelong dream of combining my love for helping others with my passion for international relations, law, and sports.
With your help, I can go to Athens, immerse myself in the language, culture, and academic challenges that await me, and bring those experiences back to make a meaningful impact.
Thank you so much for any contribution you can make. Every little bit helps me get closer to making this dream a reality —because two jobs, endless scholarship applications, and way too much coffee can only get me so far!
