Hi friends and witnesses,

My name is Melz or Amelia from New York state, and over the past 350+ days we have watched a gen0cide unfold in the Gaza Strip, also watching the people of the West Bank brutalized and now most recently noncombatants in Lebanon have been martyred, and their infrastructure attacked. With so, so many children over the past year killed and starved and lost their family and made to live in unlivable conditions.

If you've see me online, you know I've been supporting Soliman and Haya's family through multiple displacements, providing fundraising help and words of encouragement and connection as best as I can. The Nezar family consists of brother and sister, Soliman and Haya, their parents and at least three children (communication can be hard because of the language barrier and constantly shifting circumstances).

Originally, and hoping their fund would gain a lot of traction quickly, the Nezar family sought to find the funds to evacuate Gaza strip to Egypt. Now that the border crossing is inaccessible, the funds have been used to get supplies and food and necessary transportation throughout Gaza. Ultimately, though, getting the kids and the family out of the strip would alleviate some of the burden and make space for something like healing and processing this horrible year.

Finally, I created a new page because the original fundraiser was based in another country and my contacts cannot keep up with the multiple bank transfers needed to get the money to Soliman and Haya. Please, share this widely and donate what you can, keeping the family in your thoughts, as they feel very alone in this world. Soliman is in his early twenties, before this aggression he loved to travel, he enjoyed cultural food and music. With little opportunity right now, he is trying to learn Turkish and is improving his English. Thank you in advance for your support.
