Empower a Doula to Aid New Mothers in Need

Hello and thank you for being here.

I’m a woman with a heart for caregiving — someone quietly working toward a meaningful goal: to become a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor.

Often, I see how many families are overwhelmed and unsupported after birth. New moms are left to figure things out alone and recover from surgery with no one by their side. I want to change that — not with a clinic or big company, but through personal, gentle, in-home care.

I’ve already laid the foundation: I’ve researched programs, outlined a plan, and started building a service model to provide non-medical postpartum and post-surgical support. But as someone with limited income, the upfront cost of certification is a hurdle I can’t cross alone.

I’m asking for $1,200 to help me:

• Enroll in a dual certification program as a Postpartum Doula and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor

• Print basic materials to professionally launch my service and reach local families

This training is not a luxury — it’s a vital step toward doing the work I know I’m meant to do.

Once certified, my goal is to offer free or reduced-cost care to moms in need as a way to give back to the community that helped me start.
