First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my GoFundMe page. I understand that times are difficult at the moment, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am 55 years old and was the full-time caregiver to my mom and dad for the last three years. I had my parents move in with me so that I could take care of them as they were in their mid-80s and were beginning to need assistance. Three years ago, I left my appraisal business to dedicate myself to being their full-time caregiver as my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and my mom had Parkinson's and Lewy body dementia.

In 2023, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer around October of that year, and he quickly declined to the point that I had to bathe, change, feed, and take care of all of his needs. Once my dad passed away, my mom started to decline as well. While she could still do some things, I had to make her food, bathe her, and take care of her. In April 2025, she suddenly had a major decline and ended up going to the ER where they discovered she had urosepsis. After more testing, they also discovered that she had three fractures on her spine. She became immobile, and I had to move her around when she needed to go to the bathroom or needed to take a bath. She became very disoriented and needed constant reassurance that she was actually in her own house. On June 20th, she passed peacefully after a long fight.

Due to my age and having left my business to take care of my parents, I find myself unable to find a job despite having a college degree. After having taken care of my parents, I realized that I would like to work in a field where I can give back to my community.

I have decided that I would like to become an EMT so that I may give back to my community and help people when they are most in need.

The schooling to become an EMT is around $2000 plus equipment, and I am asking for assistance to be able to become an EMT and then possibly become a paramedic.

Please help me be able to get my education and allow me to help the community with my new gained education.
