Employees of the Capitola Wharf
So many good memories have been made on the Capitola Wharf...catching fish, beautiful sunsets/sunrises, warm summer afternoons, delicious meals from the wharf house and lets not forget the good company! The employees from both the Capitola Boat and Bait and the Wharf House Restaurant have been the ones there to provide these happy memories for customers. This last storm that hit California has left many employees and businesses with a devastating aftermath. Some have been left unemployed. The Capitola Wharf, including the Capitola Boat and Bait and the Wharf House Restaurant, is expected to be closed down for a year. Hopefully, this is the worst-case scenario. We are heartbroken for both the employees and the customers who have loved to enjoy the wharf amenities on a daily, weekly or even yearly basis. We have received so many heart-warming messages from our customers, we appreciate all of you guys. Most of you know that our crew has been dedicated to working for us for many years now. We appreciate them and we want to help them stay on their feet financially through this hard time. Yes, the businesses are receiving aid from the state. However, these funds do not go to the employees. These funds from the state are required for repairs to damaged buildings and lost merchandise. This gofundme page is set up specifically to benefit the employees from the Capitola Boat and Bait and the Wharf House Restaurant. We understand times are hard for everyone, which is why we truly appreciate any donation you can make or even sharing this link can help! Thank you all so much for your support all of these years...these businesses' wouldn't be what they are without our amazing employees.
