My Name is Tyler Kueffner and I was the Manager for the Adventure Park Maui from March 2023 to August 2023. The Adventure Park was a family oriented climbing and zip attraction, just up the hill from historic downtown Lahaina. Our park offered a fun and safe place for guests to challenge and enjoy themselves mentally and physically through dozens of aerial obstacles and two zip lines.

On August 8th, a devastating fire ripped through Lahaina and destroyed what was one of Hawaii's most beautiful and culturally significant seaside towns. The scope of the tragedy has been widely covered, but to those who knew and loved Lahaina, a deep grief will persist; a grief for those who were lost, and for the memory of those streets turned to ashes, once so full of life and community, long after the news cycle has moved on.

The tower of the Adventure Park still stands, but all other property and infrastructure of the business burned. Fortunately, our most important asset, our staff, are all safe. While the loss of the business itself is deeply sad, our primary concern now is for the dedicated employees who have lost not only their workplace but also their source of income.

The employees of The Adventure Park Maui were the backbone and spirit of the business. They poured their hearts into serving the community with dedication and a smile, and now they are facing an uncertain future due to circumstances beyond their control.

The situations of our staff:

Three have been displaced from the Westside of Maui with their families.
One lost his home and everything he and his family owned.
One lost a family member.
All of them lost their only source of income.

The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to provide much-needed financial support to the employees of The Adventure Park Maui who have been affected by this devastating fire. As park manager, I have felt a deep responsibility for the welfare of our employees from the beginning and 100% of funds raised will go directly to our park staff. Your generosity will help them cover immediate and essential expenses such as rent, groceries, medical bills, and other daily necessities as they navigate this challenging period.
