We're Support Connect, a passionate and purpose-driven organisation on a mission to transform education and employment outcomes for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
We believe every young person deserves the tools and opportunities to thrive, no matter their background or learning differences. That’s why we’re developing cutting-edge immersive technology, in collaboration with Metaverse Learning , to create safe, engaging, and personalised virtual environments that build confidence, skills, and real-world readiness.
Why It Matters
For many SEN and NEET learners, traditional education pathways don’t work. They face barriers such as anxiety, poor school experiences, or limited access to inclusive support. These challenges often lead to disconnection from education and unemployment.
In the UK, approximately 923,000 young people aged 16–24 are NEET, and around 300,000 students and apprentices in higher education are identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN); by investing in immersive learning tools, it is estimated that over 100,000 of these SEN learners could be positively impacted through more personalised, engaging, and accessible educational experiences that help them thrive and progress into employment or further training.
By bringing AI and immersive learning together, we can create a powerful force for good for SEN learners.
Our immersive platform will change that, offering learners:
- Safe virtual environments to explore careers and practise essential skills
- Realistic simulations for job interviews, social interaction, and workplace scenarios
- Bespoke learning pathways designed with accessibility and engagement at their core
- Supportive AI-driven tools for reflection, feedback, and progress tracking
