We were hoping to raise £5,000 to help students and children with special needs from economically less privileged areas of Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka to achieve their full potential.
We are a group of friends who have been raising funds over the past 5 years for charitable activities.
We have been fortunate to witness the power of collective action and compassionate giving, thanks to individuals like yourself who believe in making a difference.
Our journey has been a remarkable one, marked by your unwavering support for those affected by the civil war and the economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
Together, we have extended our hands to offer hope, relief, and a chance for a better life.
This summer we have decided to continue our fundraising and charitable activities under the name of SUVADUGAL / சுவடுகள்.
SUVADUGAL / சுவடுகள் will be adopting the UK Charity Commission’s Foundation Model as its operating model.
As the very first fundraising activity of SUVADUGAL / சுவடுகள், we have successfully climbed the Snowdon mountain in Wales (UK) on Saturday the 2nd of September 2023 as promised.
We invite you to stand alongside us. Your support, no matter the size, will make an impact that resonates far beyond the mountain peak.
Together, we will forge pathways to education, empowerment, and equality.
