Emotional Support Animal Amputation Costs

Hi everyone,

We currently need financial assistance with our cat’s amputation procedure. They had Sarcoma, a type of cancer on their left hind leg which requires amputation. As nobody is, we were not ready to hear this news much less ready to afford the costs for the procedures and visits. We would have a depth of gratitude for support in the costs and hope to show our gratitude in some form of reciprocity.

We adopted Mavi (Mah-vee) and their brother Azul as Emotional Support Animals back in December of 2022 from the Austin Animal Shelter. We saw Azul and we’re met with so much friendliness and play then to learn that he was in a bonded pair with his brother Mavi who is more shy but just as loving. Without hesitation we adopted both of them and have been loving on them since. We were informed that their medical history was cleared and good until in late February we noticed loss of hair in Mavis hind leg, what we thought may have been a hot spot / bug bite / or wound continued to grow only to follow up with a vet to get their sarcoma Diagnoses.

Fortunately we were able to get Mavi an amputation surgery which nips the cancer from spreading. The surgery went extremely well and Mavi is currently on recovery.

The total costs of surgery, vet visits, medication, and travel came up to about 2000 which we are currently still indebted in and would appreciate a hand to help cover the costs.
