Our sweet Emily(17yrs old) had a liver transplant on 4/19/24, due to suicidal attempt by taking 10,000mg of Tylenol, she is currently recovering in Birmingham at UAB. Emmy is also fighting pancreatitis and kidney failure which makes it difficult for her new liver to function properly. Emily has had 2 surgeries after her transplant and due to some complications with her immune suppression medication it set her back. Not only has she been intubated 4xs, numerous lines put in because they can’t get a good vein, daily dialysis treatments, weeks of nausea/vomiting, unable to eat/drink or sleep due to being in ICU, on 5/15/24 while trying to get her moved from chair to bed for the first time she went into cardiac arrest and heart stopped beating due to Emmy’s liver being to big it’s pressing down on her arterial blood line to her heart. Emmy will be having stint replaced 5/20/24 in bile duct because her bilirubin levels are going up. During this time I am unable to work due to having to be here so we are down to one income and we can’t afford household bills for her to have a home to come to, gas, food, lodging here due to not having a bathroom/shower in her room or designated area, as well as living 1 1/2hrs away from hospital, food/flea medicine for her 2 dogs and cat, reliable transportation to even be able to get back and forth(my car is having some issues due to age/mileage which we can’t afford to fix or time), parking fees($10 a day), basic hygiene and Emily is looking at least another possible 2 months recovery time in hospital- recovery home for her to have daily dr visits( we are on waiting list for housing but no definite time frame) as long as she doesn’t have any more setbacks. All our family members live 5hrs away in SC , her father is disabled as well and in a wheelchair which makes any support that much more difficult. This road is going to be very difficult and financially we need help. We understand times are hard for everyone so if you can’t donate please continue praying most importantly and share our prayers for help during this difficult time. We have cashapp, PayPal and bank account info for anyone that wants to donate at any Wells Fargo(by check or money order only), Emily is a very strong young lady who just let teenage hormones get the best of her and God has bigger plans for her! We will continue to have faith and believe he will make a way for our little sunflower to come home to us stronger than ever and share her testimony.
Please, please help us
