Cooper was admitted to Helen Devos Children’s Hospital for an abscess in his neck. Since addition, he has developed pneumonia and is retaining fluid in his lungs which is causing damage to his heart. Cooper is currently intubated but physicians are optimistic to get him off the ventilator in a few days. Cooper and his family anticipate staying in the region with hopes of eventually going home with a healthy and happy boy and an expectation of follow up appointments to continue down the road. Money will also go towards medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. Donations are appreciated, but positive thoughts are just as important!
