Emmi's Brain Cancer Fund
Donation protected
My beloved Emmi was diagnosed yesterday with a Glioma terminal Brain Tumor after weeks of tests trying to figure out why she was having seizure like symptoms and mobility issues. The Neurologist is giving her about 2 weeks to live without radiation treatment. As someone that has devoted her life to rescuing, donating and volunteering to dogs in need, I now find myself being the one needing rescuing. The radiation treatment will dramatically improve Emmi's quality of life, and give her another 18-24 good months. The doctors assured me she is in no pain and with shrinking the tumor she will come back to her happy, goof ball, ornery self. While it isn't a cure, it will give us a chance to complete a Bucket List and spread awareness about Brain Cancer. The treatment is extremely expensive and 4 weeks of radiation is $7000! Emmi would like to donate everything beyond the $7000 raised to start a fund for those who find themselves in the same situation (we've already spent well over $3500) that can't afford treatment for their beloved friends. Emmi has helped me for years spread awareness about backyard breeders, puppy mills and the importance of researching a breed before you take on the commitment and to not just get a dog because it's cute.
Emmi has asked me to ask you for your help funding her treatment and to help others in need that can't afford treatment for their pets. No donation is too small!
Please help us give Emmi time to complete her Bucket List, educate others about Brain Tumors and raise money for others. Time is of the essence as this nasty tumor is growing and impairing her. The doctors recommend starting radiation immediately. There is no pain associated with the treatment.
My best friend, my loyal companion, my first love, my Emmi!
