Emmett's Ice Cream Legacy for Dad

Donation protected

Help a 7-year-old build a business, a legacy, and a brighter future—one sweet ride at a time.

Hi, I’m Spencer, a mum with a big dream for my son, Emmett James Scharver who is on the brink of being 7 years old and going through a lot of healing.
This GoFundMe is to launch “Scharver’s Sweet Bike”—an ice cream tricycle business named in honor of his dad, Bryan Emmett Scharver, who passed suddenly last year. His dad Bryan was a master of trades, loved nature especially taking Emmett fishing, a confident communicator, and a passion for people.

This isn’t just about ice cream—it’s about building Emmett’s future, bonding us closer as a family and community, healing, sparking joy and creating resilience.

Lessons for Emmett: At 7, running “Scharver’s Sweet Bike” will gift him skills most adults chase: grit to pedal when it’s hot, innovation to create and solve problems, sales savvy to win over the neighborhood kids and pride of owning a business and making a few good bucks. I know starting now will forge Emmett’s character—resilience, confidence, ingenuity—for life.
He’ll fix a cooler leak, count change, and greet folks with his father's smile, carrying his father's dream to grow a boy into a well rounded productive and motivating man.

Inspiring Our World: Emmett’s not just selling treats—he’s lighting up his heart and the community.
Picture a 7-year-old rolling up, sweaty and proud, showing neighborhood kids and his baby brother what’s possible. He’ll inspire them to dream, hustle, and create. For me, it’s an opportunity to connect to my son, our community, encourage my sons to be proactive, independent and brave even when life at times can feel heavy and dark.

Donors fuel a kid who’ll lift others, too—your support builds a community of doers, one popsicle at a time.

Why It Matters: Before passing Bryan loved this business idea for Emmett as he felt our son was having difficulty with confidence, socializing and focus. Bryan was ready to invest in it for a soft launch in the Summer of 2024, unfortunately, Bryan's health took a devastating hit where he unexpectedly passed away that September. We were all devastated especially Emmett, Bryan's only child and pride and inspiration.

Costs: $500 for a trike/bike with wagon, $30-$50 for a cooler, $50 for paint/signage, $50 for stock, $500 for a business license/permit—roughly $1600 total. Extra donates could help with a home cooler for his own stock, a portable music box to play ice cream tunes and college fund.

I'll provide photos of Emmett’s first ride, his sales pitches, and the joy of a boy building his dad’s dream.

Join us. Help Emmett turn Scharver’s Sweet Bike into life lessons, love, and a little Bull Island magic. Thank you!
