Emmett Vaughn, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 27, 2022.
He had many passions and talents. He could make anything out of nothing…. From a kitchen stove into a powder coat oven; a bicycle into a motorcycle and a pile of auto parts into a custom made vehicle. If he could imagine it, he could create it.
He loved to spend time with family and friends on numerous adventures making memories. He loved power sports… motorcycles, snowmobiles, side by sides, jet skis, boating.. if it had a motor or wheels, he was all for it. They took many fishing/boating, trips, trips up to the cabin to snowmobile or hit the trails with the 4 wheelers.
His biggest thrill was when all his kids were together and smiling. That is what drove him and why he worked so hard.. to create a better life for his family.. he supported their choices and their dreams. They could come to him with anything and he made time to sit, listen, comfort and counsel. He was the heartbeat of the family.
His loss leaves us all broken and hurting. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him, but leaves his family lost and hurting the most.
There is a Celebration of Life at The Classic Event Center at 3607 1st Ave NE Cedar Rapids Iowa 52402 on Wednesday August 3 2022 from 4-7pm.
We are trying to raise funds to help the family lay Emmett to rest, know that he is at peace and bring comfort to the family.
We are so grateful for the time we had with him as well as for your prayers and words of comfort. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and love.
