We're raising funds to support 9 year-old Jack, who's been courageously battling primary liver cancer in Brisbane for 12 months now.
Jack’s diagnosis is Hepatocellullar Neoplasm Non-Otherwise Specified (HCN-NOS) Stage IV which is an extremely rare diagnosis affecting 1 in 5 million children worldwide.
Jack has recently undergone successful surgery to remove metastasis from both of his lungs and is currently on his 16th round of chemotherapy in preparation for a liver transplant.
As you can imagine it's been a tough journey for Jack and his family which is still a long way from being over, something no child should ever have to endure and no parent should ever have to see their child go through.
In a heartwarming twist, Jack's best buddy, 9-year-old Emmett, has decided to take a bold step to raise funds for Jack in hopes it will help bring him home because he misses and worries about his friend – he's shaving his head!
This isn't just a haircut; it's a symbol of friendship and solidarity.
All funds raised will help ease the enormous financial strain Jack's family are faced with because in reality the bills don’t stop coming! Jack and his family can then focus on what matters most – Bringing Jack home.
In addition your contributions will amplify Emmett’s compassionate gesture for his best buddy by providing Jack invaluable emotional support knowing there are many people out there who truly care.
Emmett's decision to shave his head showcases the power of friendship and community support, emphasising that even small acts can make a big difference.
By coming together in support of Jack and Emmett, we're creating a network of care that extends far beyond the immediate challenges they face. Your involvement in this fundraiser is a testament to the strength of compassion and unity in the face of adversity. Let's stand together, showing Jack and Emmett that they're not alone in this journey – we're all in it together.
