ISV: Conservation in South Africa

Hello everyone! I was recently accepted into a program called International Student Volunteers (ISV), where students from around the world come together to volunteer in countries such as Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, South Africa, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand to either work with the communities or in conservation.
On any other average day, I am a student at University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying Animal Science on the Pre-Vet track. Being able to study here and be in the major of my dreams has only fueled my motivation even more to help animals all over the world who need us to be their voice.
In late June to July of 2016 I will be participating in a program in South Africa that focuses on the conservation of wildlife species and their environment, specifically vultures and cheetahs. I will be helping rescued cheetahs and work at rehabilitation centers that support these animals in need. Overall, ISV volunteers have contributed over 3,600 person hours towards assisting with animal care at these rehabilitation centers, and I am so honored to say that by the end of my trip I would have contributed to that myself.

All of the money that I raise will go to this amazing trip, which includes flights, ISV fees, and any other accommodations I will need while I am abroad!I will also be selling tie dye shirts I have dyed personally in addition to raising funds on this page. If you are a UMass Amherst or college/high school student, tie dye shirts will be only $10. I will be giving henna tattoos on campus at varying prices (depending on size, but not expensive) that last about 1-2 weeks! I am very committed to this program and cannot wait to be there experiencing everything that there is to offer.
