Emmaus Vs GMP Tameside

Emmaus and GMP Tameside are teaming up to raise awareness of homelessness in Tameside and the wider Greater Manchester area, by holding a charity football match, as part of a fundraising event.

Emmaus UK in Mossley offers home and work to 26 previously homeless people. The Mossley branch of Emmaus have established a football team, made up of many of those previously homeless employees.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Tameside Division, are giving up their days off to take part in this fundraising event, to work in partnership with Emmaus to tackle homelessness.

The event will take place at Mossley AFC, Seel Park, Market Street, Mossley, OL5 0ES, with the gates opening at 1pm and kick off at 2pm.

All proceeds from the day will be donated to the Greater Manchester Mayor's Homelessness Fund.
