Emma's Starve the Cancer and Beat Stage 4

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nile from the BioCharged team and I am part of a group of friends and family looking to raise funds to support Emma who is living with a Stage 4 bile-duct cancer.

She is embarking on integrative options of therapies and nutrition to provide support her mind and body while receiving medical treatment to beat her cancer.

This includes implementing the Starve the Cancer protocol that has had successes with individuals known to us that were diagnosed with Stage 4 who have been given the all-clear.

We have agreed that it is important that we are not just raising funds for Emma to access these options, but also that other friends and anyone else concerned can observe and learn from her process and protocols and share the information or make a note for themselves.

Emma is looking at various options alongside the Starve the Cancer protocol to support her process, but they come at a cost.

By observing Emma's own experience as she goes through the protocol, we can all get to 'look-in' and see how she progresses for their own future reference, or perhaps on behalf of a loved one.

In my lifetime, I have seen Cancer go from 1 in 10, to hearing now it could be 1 in 2, so the information learned along the way with regards to Emma's experience of applying the Starve-the-Cancer protocol may be relevant to many of us in the future.

The funds will be used to pay for her medications and complimentary options.

We will provide updates as we go and share her journey as it may inspire others.

We are all upbeat and positive and remain supportive through the process.

EMMA's STORY ( as told by her friend and team member Angie)

Dear All,

Many of you already know about my cousin Emma's battle with stage 4 secondary liver cancer, diagnosed in November 2023. For those who don't, here is her story.

At 34 years old, with a family of three young children (Sophia, 9; Jenson, 7; and Leo, 4) and her husband Michael, Emma received the devastating news.

Initially, the primary cancer site was unknown, limiting her treatment options and prognosis to just 12 months.

Thankfully, oncologist Dr. Dhillon pursued further investigation and discovered the primary cancer in her liver's bile duct. This opened the door to a new immunotherapy and chemotherapy treatment, which successfully shrank the tumor and gave Emma hope for many more years.

Unfortunately, a scan revealed tumour growth.

The search for a suitable targeted immunotherapy has been unsuccessful, and Emma's next step was stronger chemotherapy while the search continues.

In the meantime, we've found a promising protocol alongside chemotherapy the effectively starves the cancer, with many positive outcomes for terminal cancer patients.

We have been talking to two people that were Stage 4 cancer that did the starve-the-cancer protocol that have now been given the all clear

To pay for this protocol and additional support with complimentary health options, we needed to raise £18, 000 spread over 6 months

Please consider donating anything you can to help Emma change her destiny.

Some of us will also be participating in the Hermes Running Thames Meander Run on August 09, 2025, with mainly walkers and a few runners tackling 10k, half marathon, and full marathon distances.

As you know, Emma is bravely fighting stage 4 metastasized liver cancer. This week brought some devastating news. Firstly, the cancer in her shoulder has grown significantly, causing her immense pain and loss of mobility in her right arm. The only option to address this is surgery to remove the upper arm bone and replace it with a prosthetic, with the aim of removing as much of the shoulder cancer as possible.

UPDATE MAY 2025

Heartbreakingly, we have learned that the stronger chemotherapy Emma has been receiving is no longer effective, and the tumor in her liver is growing.

As a result, she has had to stop chemotherapy and has been referred to the Royal Marsden to explore potential clinical trial options.

If no suitable trials are available, the NHS has indicated that her life expectancy is until the end of the year.

Naturally, Emma and her loved ones are determined to fight this.

Following extensive research, Emma is keen to try two specific treatments.

The first is TACE (transcatheter arterial chemoembolization), which delivers chemotherapy directly to the liver tumor while blocking its blood supply.

While TACE is available in the UK, the eligibility criteria are very strict, and Emma's tumor is currently too large for her to qualify.

Fortunately, we have found Prof. Dr. med. Thomas J. Vogl in Frankfurt, Germany, who offers this treatment with less rigid criteria.

TACE has shown remarkable success in end-stage cancer patients, offering hope when other avenues have been exhausted.

The cost of each TACE treatment is 3,900 euros, and Emma is likely to need four rounds, totaling 15,600 euros.

The second treatment Emma is interested in is histotripsy, a non-invasive procedure that uses focused ultrasound waves to destroy tumors.

It is particularly effective for liver tumors but is not yet available through the NHS. This treatment costs around £50,000.

Our hope is that the TACE treatment can significantly reduce the cancer in Emma's liver, potentially extending her life and perhaps making her eligible for histotripsy trials if they become available in the UK.

Alternatively, we aim to raise enough funds to send her to India, USA or the United Arab Emirates for histotripsy treatment if needed.

In the meantime, Emma is diligently supporting her NHS treatment with a holistic protocol aimed at creating an internal environment where her healthy cells can better fight the cancer. This involves a costly and ongoing regimen of vitamin supplements and drugs, which the funds raised so far are thankfully covering.

However, we now urgently need to raise funds for the TACE treatment in Germany and, potentially, the histotripsy treatment.

We are organizing a series of fundraising events and would be incredibly grateful if you could join us and help us raise the money needed to give Emma the chance to see her children grow up – a right every mother deserves.

Please share this message on your social media and with anyone you know. The more we share, the better our chances of reaching our target.

Thank you for your time and support in helping to change Emma's destiny!

Sincerely,
Angela
