Emma's SBS with YWAM Sunshine Coast

At the start of October, I will be travelling to Sunshine Coast, Australia to attend the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) with the organisation Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

The organisation has bases across the world, including where I previously completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in New Zealand during my gap year (2018). The motto of YWAM is "to know God and make Him known" which is a fundamental reason why I chose to do this course.

The SBS is a 9-month intensive course in which we will go through the whole bible a number of times, learn tools to read and understand it for ourselves, while being given historical and cultural context of the times in which it was written.

I am so excited for the ways in which this season is going to grow my relationship with God. I will hopefully know Him deeper than I have before and come away with a richer understanding of His word. This will help equip me for any future ministry roles I find myself in following the school.

I will arrive in Australia on October 3rd and will remain there until the middle of June 2024. I am hoping to raise £3500 in order to help cover the costs of tuition, flights, visas and living.
