Hi, I’m Emma. After 34 years in Accounting, I was laid off on November 10 due to a company wide reduction in force. My health insurance ends soon, and I’m continuing recovery after brain tumor surgery in October 2022, which requires regular follow up testing every three months and essential daily prescription medications.
I’ve always been independent and the one others could count on. Asking for help is hard for me but right now, support would bridge the gap so I can stay on treatment and remain stable while I secure new work and coverage.
Why I’m Fundraising
Essential prescriptions I take to manage ongoing symptoms and prevent setbacks
Follow-up appointments and routine monitoring every three months (as ordered by my doctors)
Co-pays, imaging/labs, and transportation to appointments
Basic living costs during this short transition while I apply and interview
With my layoff on Nov 10, my insurance ends at month’s end. I need to refill medications and keep upcoming follow ups on schedule so I don’t lose progress in my recovery.
Your kindness goes directly toward meds, appointments, and essentials that keep my care on track. It keeps prescriptions filled on time, covers co-pays, labs, and MRI imaging, and helps with transportation to follow-ups every three months so care isn’t interrupted. It also supports essential bills during this transition. My immediate priorities are this month’s refills and my next scheduled follow-up. Routine, non-graphic monitoring every 3 months after brain tumor surgery. Your support helps me keep appointments and afford medications.
I’ve worked since I was a teenager and built a career I’m proud of. I love my family, my faith, and serving others. This season has humbled me, but it hasn’t shaken my belief that better days are ahead. Your prayers, shares, and any support mean more than I can say.
Thank you for reading, praying, sharing, and giving as you’re able. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page, you’re helping me stay on treatment and move toward stable employment and coverage again. From my heart. thank you. ❤️
