Emma was an amazing Wife, Daughter, Auntie , Granddaughter and Big sister. She would have been an exceptional mother if given the chance but that was tragically taken away from her.

Emma passed away on Thursday 11th March 2021 whilst giving birth to her gorgeous little boy. She was so excited to meet him, give him a kiss and cuddle, but she passed away before she even got to see him and before her little boy got to see/hear his mummy.

Emma passed away from an Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE). AFE is the leading cause of maternal death in mothers, either during or shortly after birth, with a 80% mortality rate. Even though it is that deadly and rips families apart, it isn’t well known.

As a family we want to raise money for Wellbeing of Women, we will donate all of the money raised in Emma’s name to do more research into AFE and make it more known so less people will have to go through what our family are going through.

We want to ask you all to donate in Emma’s name and her legacy, her beautiful soul will forever be missed but never forgotten.  A massive thank you to anyone who donates to this research programme in Emma’s memory. Please share far and wide!

In these modern times, no woman should lose her life during childbirth.
