You may already know one of Casa Libre’s most distinguished students, Emmanuel Zepeda, and his passion and natural talent for wrestling. Since his introduction to the sport as a 10th grader just a year ago, his hard work and discipline quickly earned him a spot at the CIF Championship (Los Angeles Section) where he got 2nd place and upon his return this year, took 1st!
This most recent victory earned him his second trip to Bakersfield for the CIF State Championship, and although he did not make it to the podium, he won one of his matches by pin and missed moving to the next round by only one point! This was the first time that a Fremont High School wrestler has competed or won at this level.
His tireless dedication and training over the past 15 months have made Emmanuel a contender at the highest level. With additional coaching and assistance, Emmanuel will surely place in California’s top 8 next year, giving him a chance to compete for that coveted spot as an All-American.
Emmanuel’s future is incredibly promising academically as well. His 3.4 G.P.A has also earned him the admiration of his teachers and classmates and shows just what a well rounded individual Emmanuel is, making him the perfect candidate for opportunities like those we seek for him here, and which could help him secure a scholarship to continue on his exemplary academic and athletic trajectory.

J Robinson 28 Day Intensive Wrestling Camp is known as the most elite, intense, and effective wrestling camp in the country. The rate of State Champions and State Place winners that come out of these camps is exceptionally high. Given the chance to participate and train in an environment of this caliber will undoubtedly help Emmanuel reach that next level.
Those of us that know and love Emmanuel are certain of his success in any endeavor he undertakes because of his astonishing work ethic and drive. His Coach at Fremont has “Never seen this kind of raw talent" and we have never seen this kind of “Gana”! We are so proud of Emmanuel's accomplishments and you will be too!
