Emmalyn Lowe

Hi I am Jaquae Simpson I’m the mother of Emmalyn Lowe. September of 2019 my daughter was diagnosed with a grade 2 Posterior Fossa Ependymoma which is a rare cancerous brain tumor that usually occurs in children. Emmalyn has fought this cancer as much as she could. She has had 3 major brain surgeries to debulk the tumor a shunt placement and a shunt revision surgery. She had 2 rounds of chemotherapy which the tumor grew through and 33 rounds of radiation to her brain. She’s had a feeding tube placed because this tumor took her ability to swallow on her left side. Even through all her pain my baby still managed to find a smile. About a week after Easter 2021 her MRI showed her tumor has returned with a vengeance and the doctors gave us little to no options. Her oncologist told us this tumor will only give my baby 2-4 months to live. Emmalyn has two sisters that love and adore her with all their heart and a mother and father who would give the world for her. We are having a difficult time coping with the news all we can do is look to God for guidance. We never had a chance to get a life insurance policy as she is only 3years old we never expected life to take us in this direction.
