Emma's YWAM Counseling School Fund

Hello everyone! My name is Emma Harris, and I have been a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) for a year in New Zealand, and I have an exciting opportunity to share! For quite some time, I have had the desire to get further educated so that I can better disciple and counsel those around me. God has given me a huge heart for seeing all God's people made whole and healthy in His love! I am so passionate about restoration in relationships, whether with family, other people, or God. 
I have applied for a Foundations for Counseling Ministry school with YWAM Perth in Australia, and it begins October 2nd, 2016. This means I have about three months to get a plane ticket, a visa, and raise all of the school and outreach funds! Doing a Foundations for Counseling Ministry school means that I would get hands on training from teachers and speakers who see counseling through a biblical view. I'll get to participate in workshops and role plays that will help prepare me for the future, and I will also get a chance to practice these skills on outreach, as well as teach seminars to others who want to learn more about counseling. Some of the lecture phase topics include: Counseling for Grief & Trauma, Abuse, HIV/AIDS, Stress/Anxiety/Depression, and counseling for children.
