The Emma Key Hands & Feet Foundation

UPDATE (June 26, 2019) --->

It's been a while since we've updated or promoted our foundation ... the Emma Key Hands and Feet Foundation.

I probably got a little ahead of myself with the website (The Emma Key Hands and Feet Foundation) ... and I haven't done a good job of keeping that up to date ... but that doesn't mean we haven't still been helping people.

We've worked to continue Emma's mission of being a missionary ... and trying our best to help those in need, no matter what it might have been. Mission trips, hurricane relief, school supplies or grants ... you name it, we've always been looking for ways to help.

While the GoFundMe lists the amount we've raised in the 5 years since we started ... that number has obviously dwindled quite a bit over the past 5 years. That's why ... in honor of Emma's 18th birthday ... we are once again throwing it out there and asking for your help.

Emma would have graduated high school this past May ... and would most certainly be headed off to college, if not already there. One thing for certain is that her spirit and the love she had for Jesus ... carries on.

If you feel led to donate, please do. If you want to share this with others, we welcome that as well.

An $18 dollar donation for her 18th birthday ... or in whatever manner you feel led to give.

Or ... just simply keep our family in your prayers as we remain committed to carry on Emma's quest to be the HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS.

Thank you ... and God bless you.

Love,

Steven, Sherry and Eiley Key

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

UPDATE -->

There are many people wondering how they can help with the relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. As you all know by now, the recovery won't be limited to what's happening right now but will be a long-term recovery effort.

We are now taking tax-deductible donations for the Emma Key Hands and Feet Foundation for the sole purpose of supporting those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

100% of the donations made will go to relief efforts around our great city, with no administration costs deducted.

If you feel led, please consider donating to the foundation. We will be looking for many ways to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus during this time. This is just one of the ways we can get started.

Please know that of the total listed on this site, over 75% has been distributed since we started this effort in 2015 to many different organizations. We are now looking to help those in need affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Thank you for your help...but more importantly, please continue to pray for all those affected by this catastrophic event.

All gifts are tax deductible under non-profit 501(c) (3).

Dear Friends,

Emma Key was a vibrant, beautiful little girl on the inside and out. She had a heart of gold, a love for Jesus and the need to do more for others than herself.

She was our first daughter and the older sister of Eiley.

On May 15, 2010, we were headed to New Orleans when we were involved in a tragic accident just outside Baton Rouge in which Emma lost her life.

We have set up this GoFundMe page as the donation  home for the foundation we are establishing in her honor.

This foundation will work to carry out her passion of being the "hands and feet of Jesus" in several different avenues. Emma had a huge heart for everyone else. She spent most of her short life wanting to share her love for Jesus and do for others instead of herself.

As you may remember, a few years ago we raised money for the Neighborhood Kidz Club in Katy. Some other examples are mission work opportunities in Latin America (digging water wells, etc) and India (helping victims of sex-trafficking), scholarships for families in need as well as several other endeavours that were close to the heart of Emma and our family.

Serving others wasn't a one-time deal for Emma...and we are determined that it shouldn't be for us either. We are dedicated to carrying on her witness and her love for those less fortunate or in need of help.

Because of that, we have decided to continue walking in her footsteps by doing what she would have done were she still here...helping as many as we can who need it.

Donations can be made in multiples of $5 (fifth anniversary of her passing) or $14 (her 14th birthday upcoming)...or in whatever manner you feel led to give. That's why the goal amount is 5,014...5 and 14. The more money raised...the more people we will be able to help now and in the future.

We will be doing this page from May 15 to June 26 (birthday). If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or a yearly contributor, please contact us. Otherwise, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution.
