Emma's story
Donation protected
The picture is of our lovely friend Emma. Everyone who knows her, will agree that she is beautiful inside and out.
Emma unfortunately had an accident in 2006, which left her with foot drop syndrome and she is paralysed from the knee down on one leg. She has always continued to work passionately as a teacher, even though she has to take chronic pain medication and most days the pain is unbearable.
Now life has given her another battle, as she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and has started 4 months of intensive chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy.
Covid 19 has been a tough time for many. Especially for Emma, as she is single and has received almost no help from the government. Now with the diagnosis and treatment, she doesn't know when she will be able to return to work. This has added to an already stressful time in her life, when she should be using all of her strength to get better and not have an extra worry about financial difficulties.
Despite this, she is always upbeat and is always making jokes.
Please if you can make even a small donation, it would mean a lot. Please help her to keep that gorgeous smile.
Thank you.
