Emma's Drum Corps Tour Fees

Hello dear friends, family and others who have graciously decided to visit my GoFundMe! My name is Emma Tatum and I am a sophomore at the Ann Richards School. I march baritone for my school's marching band and I'm very invested in my musical endeavors. At the end of the 2018 marching season, I began looking into auditioning for various drum corps (marching programs outside of my school). Genesis is a world renowned marching drum and bugle corp based in Austin, Texas that competes at an international level against other corps, working to perfect a new marching show every summer.

I am incredibly honored to have been offered a spot in this prestigious corps! At the beginning of January, I auditioned for a spot in the Genesis program; Competing against many other musicians (aged 14-21) for a chance to march this summer. This incredible opportunity will be the beginning to a path that will continue for many summers to come. 

This summer, myself and 150 others will spend three months together. During this time we will travel across the entire country and stay at various schools in over 10 states. The entire fee that every member is required to pay covers all instructors pay, gas for the buses, 3 meals a day and housing for 3 whole months; Along with the experience of a lifetime! Donating any amount, even just a dollar, would help me so much and mean a lot to me. I'm saving up on my own with my job, but the fees are difficult to pay completely on my own, so any form of support is the world to me.
