Hello everyone! Unfortunately as many of you know we lost our sweet daughter at 20 weeks due to complications with Turner's Syndrome. We are completely heartbroken and now need to pay the unexpected cost of funeral/ memorial services and burial costs. We are setting up a Go Fund Me to help offset some of these costs. Any little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

For those, that may not be aware of our story, here it is:

We started our journey into parenthood last year when I started undergoing fertility tests and searching for a donor. We were on the waitlist for our donor for about 8 months until he had vials available. We had purchased 8 vials with the intention that half would be used for me to use and the other half Mar would use. We decided that we would start off with IUI rather than IVF.

After 4 IUIs, I finally got the amazing news that we were pregnant! We were so excited that it finally took and the pregnancy seemed to have been going well so far.

At the beginning of the 2nd trimester I took the NIPT test, mainly so we get the gender to do a gender reveal party. When the test results came back, I got a call from our OB stating that our little girl was at high risk of Turner's Syndrome. We had an OB appointment about a week later and did an ultrasound. Our OB discovered that our girl had a cystic hygroma and hydrops (all markers of Turner's Syndrome) and gave her a 1% chance of surviving. We decided to continue the pregnancy for as long as she was fighting and I wasn't having any serve health issues.

Unfortunately after many doctor's appointments, we learned from an ultrasound at exactly 20 weeks that her heart had stopped. I was induced and delivered our baby girl.

We are doing a little memorial and burial on 10/3/25 to honor little Emma Nicole Justice. We are so grateful for the little of time we did have with her. We are also so grateful for all of the love and support that we have been given.

Hola a todos!! Lamentablemente como muchos ya saben perdimos a nuestra preciosa hija a las 20 semanas de gestación debido a las complicaciones del síndrome turner. Estamos con el corazón roto y ahora tenemos que pagar por los servicios de funeral y el velorio para su entierro. Creamos un Go Fund Me para poder costear aquellos costos, cualquier monto así sea el más mínimo es una ayuda y será totalmente apreciada.

Empezamos nuestra aventura en ser madres el año pasado, Katrina empezó a hacerse pruebas de fertilidad y buscamos un donante, estuvimos en la espera por 8 meses hasta que por fin pudimos tener 8 vías con la esperanza de que Katrina usara 4 intentos y mi persona 4 intentos. Decidimos que empezaríamos con IUI en vez de IVF.

El intento número 4 de Katrina finalmente nos dieron la noticia que estábamos embarazadas, nos emocionamos tanto sobre todo cuando nos dijeron que todo marchaba bien.

después de los 3 meses, Katrina se hizo un examen de NIPT sobre todo para saber el género y así hacer una fiesta de Gender Reveal. Cuando los resultados salieron el doctor obstetra nos llamó para decirnos que Emma tenía muchas chances de salir con Síndrome de Turner y una semana después fue el primer ultrasonido de muchos, nos dijo que nuestra bebé tenía un quiste en el cuello y hidrops -fluidos en lugares donde no debería- (Todo a consecuencias del síndrome Turner) y él le daba 1% de sobrevivir. decidimos continuar con el embarazo tanto como ella luchara y Katrina no se viera afectada en su salud.

Después de varias citas con los doctores y el último ultrasonido, nos dijeron que su corazón ya no latía, Katrina tomó la decisión de dar a luz y tuvo un parto para poder despedirnos adecuadamente de Emma.

Vamos a hacer un pequeño velorio y entierro el diez de octubre del 2025 en honor a la pequeña Emma Nicole Justice. Estamos honradas y agradecidas por el pequeño tiempo que pudimos estar con ella y realmente estamos agradecidas por todo el amor y el apoyo que nos han dado.
