Emma Needs Diagnostic Testing

Emma is a sweet, 13yo gray tuxie who has become something of a medical mystery, at least according to her vet. A few weeks ago, she started reacting strongly to any touch or movement of her tail. Nothing is showing up on x-ray, and there is no swelling or other sign of injury. We have tried steroids to no effect, and the pain medication doesn't seem to be helping either.

I am hoping to raise money to bring her back to the vet for further diagnostic testing. Due to other unexpected expenses late last year and early this year, I am unable to pay for these tests and possible future surgery myself. Without them, I fear the only option remaining is the humane one.

Emma is an integral part of our household, for all she has always been grumpy with her adopted feline siblings. She has been with me almost all of her life, and I cannot imagine life without her.

In between bouts of pain, she is still loving, coming to me for pets and comfort. I don't believe this has to be the end of her life, surely she still has several good years in her. Can you help?
