Help Emma Get a Life-Saving Diabetic Alert Dog
Hi, my name is Brandi, and I’m the proud mom of a brave, beautiful 12-year-old girl named Emma. Emma was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September of 2022, even thought she handles this life-changing condition with strength and grace beyond her years, there are still moments that leave us scared and overwhelmed — especially at night.
Emma doesn’t wake up when her blood sugar drops dangerously low while she’s sleeping. We’ve had more than a few terrifying nights, and as a parent, it’s heartbreaking to know that even while resting, her life can silently be at risk. That’s why we are fundraising to get Emma a specially trained Diabetic Alert Dog — a service dog that can detect dangerous blood sugar changes before they become emergencies.
These incredible dogs can alert Emma or us in the middle of the night, offer her more independence during school or sleepovers, and give her the freedom every child deserves — without constant fear hanging over her.
But these dogs require extensive, professional training, and the cost can reach over $20,000. With ongoing medical bills already adding up, this goal feels impossible for us to reach alone.
If you feel led to give, share, or simply pray for Emma’s journey, please know how deeply grateful we are. Your support means more safety, more peace of mind, and more freedom for a little girl who just wants to live her life like any other 12-year-old.
Thank you for being part of Emma’s story!
