Hi everyone. I never thought we'd find ourselves in a position to create one of these however our family has received some devastating news this past week. Our sweet 7 year old niece, Emma, went to the doctor for stomach pains. Upon some testing, a tumor was found on one of her kidneys along with nodules on her lungs.The doctors performed surgery, just a few days later, and ended up needing to remove her kidney because the tumor was too large. During the surgery, more tumors were discovered on her pancreas and large intestine.
From the time the stomach pains started, to surgery, was just about 2 weeks, so the tumors appear to be spreading fast. We don't know the full extent of what's going on, or what lies ahead, other than the road to recovery will be long, stressful and expensive. Chemo and radiation is expected and necessary.
Please consider donating to help support Emma's family in this time of need to ease the financial stress of medical bills, travel and missed work. They are at a hospital a little over an hour away from their home, and could be there for a while. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing her story.And of course, above all else, please pray for the healing of Emma, comfort and strength for her family, and for God to be glorified through a full recovery.
