Hi my name is Melanie and Im raising funds for a dear friend of mine named Tanya. Tanya and her family who live in Indiana would like the opportunity to be at the sentencing hearing of Kristie Haas and Brandon Haas for the senseless murder of precious Baby Emma Grace. When Emma Grace was born her mother Kristie didnt want her and chose to have her live with her aunt Tanya, who would be the only mommy Emma Grace would ever know. Emma Grace had a wonderful, loving home with Tanya and her family until just before her 2nd birthday when Kristie decided she wanted to be a mother and get custody of Emma back so she could take her to live with her and her new husband Brandon in Smyrna, Delaware. Sadly within a few short months of Emma being placed with Kristie she cut all contact off with Tanya. On September 13, 2019 an unidentified child between the age of 3-6 was found at the Little Lass Baseball field in Smyrna, Delaware, she was burned and unrecognizable, as well as slightly buried. For nearly a year this baby was unidentified until relatives in Indiana seen the sketch of the unidentified childs composite and made the call to Delaware State Police to say they thought it was Emma Grace. Positively identified a few months later as Emma Grace Cole was a heartbreak that no one should ever go through. As you can imagine Tanya and her family were in shambles and didnt know how to pick up the pieces or how to move on. They had so many questions and nobody was giving them answers or allowing them any sort of closure to what could have happened to their Emma Grace. Delaware State Police held a press conference charging her mother Kristie Haas with Murder, and Brandon Haas was charged with Child Neglect. Another kick to the stomach came when Brandon Haas was released pending trial, so he continues to walk the streets after the horrible act of murdering a little girl. In the indicment it states Emma Grace was made to do unusual exercises, she was never taken to a doctor, she was with held food and eventually she died at the hands of these 2 monsters, these 2 monsters that should have never had her to begin with. In March of this year Brandon pled guilty to Child Endangerment and because he assisted the Prosecutors with information most likely will not even do a day behind bars. Kristie pled guilty at the end of May this year to a charge of Murder by Abuse and Neglect and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children. So i ask you all please help me get Tanya and her family to Delaware for the sentencing of Kristie Haas and Brandon Haas next month so she can be Emma Graces Voice. Dont let Emma Grace be silenced anymore, this beautiful baby girl didnt deserve this life with those monsters, she was a healthy happy child up until she was ripped from the only home and love she had known. Dont let these monsters silence what they did. Tanya wants a chance to finally look them in the eyes and read an impact statement at sentencing on behalf of herself, her family but most importantly for Emma. This family needs closure to what happened to their baby girl and you can help them start the process.
