Emma (Ems) Batey

My name is Richy and I have the absolute honour of being Emma's Dad. It breaks my heart to say that Emma passed away in Addenbrookes Hospital at 3.45pm on 23rd December 2024 following a battle with illness which, like many previous, Emma faced up to and fought 'doing her very best'. We thought hard about what best to do with regards to tributes for Emma and decided that, rather than flowers, we would arrange a collection for something that she would definitely approve of. During the last year Emma had been attending the Independence Matters hub in Downham Market twice a week and she loved it. Whether it was doing activities, going out for shopping or a bite to eat or simply having a cup of tea, an activity we can safely say was her favourite, accompanied with cakes or biscuits, she enjoyed it all.
