Emma Depner and Patrick McGee

Emma Depner and Patrick McGee will be welcoming their first baby Ellah Kay McGee into the world on June 4, 2019 (or sooner)! My daughter Emma has been staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Camden, New Jersey, as baby Ellah will be born at CHOP (Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia) with an abdominal wall birth defect known as Gastroschisis.  This birth defect will require a long road of recovery in the NICU for baby Ellah and means that she will be born with her large and small intestines born outside of her body( possibly more organs but we will not know for sure until she is born.  Along with the medical bills, housing donations, food expenses, travel expenses back and forth for Patrick to visit Ellah and Emma in Philadelphia during this time will be financially difficult for them.  Unfortunately, Ellah’s condition has caused Emma to take a leave of absence  from work early and required her to relocate to the Philadelphia area.  All donations will be split between the Ronald McDonald house in Camden, NJ and Patrick and Emma to help them financially so that they can focus on the recovery of their first child! Most importantly we ask for your thoughts and prayers during this time as this has been extremely difficult and scary for Patrick and Emma! Baby Ellah’s condition is treatable, but will not be easy!
