Emma and the Fritsche family.

Hi Friends and Family

On Thanksgiving Day my niece Emma Fritsche, Former Resident of Point Pleasant Beach and current resident of Bluffton South Carolina was taken to the hospital following a high fever and the inability to move her legs. By the time she reached the hospital she was losing the inability to move her arms, her breathing was labored and she had to be intubated.

Emma is 21 years old and was diagnosed with transverse myelitis. We had never heard of this before - since it is extremely rare. With the reality of google and the team of amazing drs Emma now has helped us understand this rare inflammatory disease.

We recently visited Emma in South Carolina. She has been in Icu for almost 1 month and still managed to smile and tell us she is ok and loves us. We Praise God that she is still with us, showing her love and spirit!
Emma gets that from her family Tracy Joe and Joseph Fritsche, who have not left her side since this happened Thanksgiving weekend. They have had to take turns at the hospital using hotels and air bnb's to sleep. They have had to catch meals on the go, and purchase necessities along the way because Emma has been in two hospitals thus far, and will be transferred via medical helicopter to Atlanta to The Shepherd Spinal Hospital in the next couple days. She will be there for quite a while for therapy so the family will relocate however they have to, to be there and help Emma.
Recovery for Transverse Myelitis is a long road and the effects of this have been utterly devastating to the family. Emotionally and Financially.

Emma is a beautiful 21 year old young lady with a beautiful soul and her whole life ahead of her. She is strong and spirited! Many of you may know her from her school days at Antrim and Point Pleasant Beach High School, Her parents Tracy and Joe Fritsche were also a big part of the Point Pleasant Beach Community, until they moved down south a year ago, to enjoy Carolina life all was going great until this catastrophe hit home.

It is especially hard for all of us to be so far from them right now, because it is times like this that you need the love, support and help from friends, family and community

We are kindly asking all of you to first of send all your prayers good vibes whatever you got to Emma and the Family
The Medical bills that have accumulated in the first 3 weeks are already exorbitant, not to mention the loss of work at this time because of the fragility of Emma's health.
Emma right now is 100% dependent on her family and Medical Team and it is important for Tracy and Joe to continue to be able to be at her side.
We kindly ask you if you have any ability to help them financially during this time it would be greatly appreciated. We also thank you for your messages of love and hope for Emma.
Her Mountain is high and the road will be long, but together we can help them all along the way..
With Much love and Sincere thanks
