Update: My sweet father passed away yesterday 5/12 at 12:38 pm. He was such a good man and this GoFundMe is now moving towards supporting my mom and the expenses she is going to incur in these next few weeks. Thank you all for the love and support during this difficult time for our family.

Hi, my name is Micaela and I am the daughter of Emma and Jose Suazo. Last year, my dad found out that he had lung cancer. After finishing his chemo treatment, he started radiation, and then went into remission at the beginning of this year. I am starting this go fund me due to my dad finding out last month that he is no longer in remission and has stage four lung cancer. Emma has been very strong this whole endeavor and my dad has worked very hard to stay positive during this time. My whole life both of them have worked very hard and my dad wants to continue working, but with the lung cancer and upcoming treatments being so aggressive, he is unable to. He should be starting chemo sometime in the next two weeks, but as a gift to him and my mom, our family has decided to help them have their dream Vow renewal. This go fund me will assist with costs following the Vow renewal, so my dad doesn’t have to worry too much about going back to work and this will be a time for them to enjoy themselves.
