Emma and Her Cats Need Your Help

Hi friends, I wanted to share an honest ask for some mutual aid and help to prevent me from being evicted from my apartment.

Towards the beginning of January, I was let go from my job that provided my primary source of income, I was able to find a new job, but due to medical bills and other bills that I needed to pay I became backlogged on my rent. Because of that, I set up some payment plans each week that could set me up a bit better, but still fell short of ultimately what I owed my landlord.

Currently, what I am dealing with, is facing a notice of eviction if I cannot pay them what I owe in bills for my apartment, that would make it harder for me to keep my life stable and a living situation that has been predominantly out of my control as much as I’ve tried to keep myself afloat. I have two cats that are brothers as well, and I’d be facing the difficult choice of having to rehome them as well if things continue in this way.

I work two restaurant-based jobs, and due to it still being slow season, even with those, I struggle heavily to make up rent and other funds to cover my health insurance due to my diabetes, car payment, and car insurance.
