Hi everyone. On Monday May 2, 2022 my son Timothy fell down his back steps and broke his knee cap into 4 pieces. He endured a 3 hour surgery to repair the knee and dislodge bone fragments in his cartilage. He will be in a cast from his butt cheek to his ankle for the next 8 weeks minimally. And then he will need his second surgery to remove the wiring they placed to hold it all together. The screws and plates will stay in. We are looking at a 6-12 month recovery time with physical therapy and many more visits.
Timmy is the bread winner for his small family. He has an 8 month old daughter, Stella and 4 year old daughter, Jovie at home with his fiancé. She has been unable to work due to the medical issues Jovie has been experiencing which include Intussusception and Jugular phlebectasia. Many medical appointments and upcoming surgeries have made life a little difficult and now Timmys injury.
He has no medical insurance and we are applying to get him temporary Medicaid and disability but we all know how slow the government is. They need help in the mean time with household expenses and will need to pay out of pocket for all his medical needs and appointments including prescription. Every little bit helps.
