Birthday Fundraiser for Guinea Pigs in Need

Hi, my name is Emily and I have run Little Buddies Refuge, a guinea pig rescue located in Philadelphia, PA, for just over three years now since we started back in May 2020. With the help of my mom and support from people who love what we do, we've been able to rescue and rehabilitate over 260 guinea pigs to date.

We are entirely self-funded, so, as you can imagine, this type of work can become pretty costly. Guinea pigs, despite being labeled as "easy" or "beginner" by the pet store (a false narrative that I've devoted much of my time to decimate), are far more complex and costly than many would be led to believe––especially when caring for about 20 of them at a time! They require daily fresh vegetables & herbs, quality pellets, and loads of hay to munch on 24/7 (it's essential for their teeth and digestive systems) and the real kicker is the exorbitant medical expenses. While we are more than happy to accommodate these piggies and provide them the best life they can get in our care until they reach their forever homes, these costs definitely add up.

I started this rescue at seventeen years old with no real clue of what I was getting into, and in the blink of an eye, I am about to turn 21 on September 5th! So, for my birthday, I want to raise money for the rescue I've spent the past three years of my life dedicated to, to further support these animals I am so deeply passionate about.
