Hello, my name is Emily. Thank you for taking a moment to read my story.

I have been chronically ill for more than half my life. I have received a multitude of diagnoses including Chronic Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and musculoskeletal issues. I have gone from going to the gym daily to battling extreme fatigue and suicidal pain, using a cane, then a walker, and now, I am in a wheelchair most of the time. My vision is also severely impacted due to an irreversible optic nerve issue, which also greatly limits my independence. I have researched and incorporated countless therapies, protocols, and healthcare practices into my daily life in order to heal.

It has been an arduous and challenging journey. I am very blessed to have the love and support of my family, church community, friends, and my sweet cat, Louie. I do not know why I am going through this, but God does. He is using this for my good even though it does not feel that way, and I trust Him.

In 2015, a physician got me to the point of almost walking without the use of a cane. Unfortunately, they had to unexpectantly relocate to Florida for personal reasons. Although they stayed connected with me, the intensive treatment I needed from them was not possible until now. I can receive a month-long, immersive treatment and intensive rehabilitation from them this winter. For the first time in years, I am hopeful about improving my health.

This is a costly venture that I cannot fund entirely by myself as treatment, accommodation, food, and travel expenses add up. Please consider donating to help offset these expenses.
