Emily's Medical Costs
Donation protected
Well, this has been one weird and pretty lame year so far and I can't believe I'm writing this. As many people know, my dad, Mike, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for the 3rd time a couple months ago. Treatment is going as well as it can be but here we are, faced with yet another unimaginable challenge, and even more unexpected.
My baby sister, just 27 years young, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will begin treatment in the coming weeks. She has just begun her new life, moving solo out to Colorado and away from the nest, and she's been loving every minute of it. I can't explain how proud of her I am, knowing the struggles she's faced growing into the independent and driven person she now is.
We'll take it one step at a time but there is no doubt she will need some major help with upcoming medical bills and paying rent/living expenses as she will be needing to take time away from work. We are once again asking for any possible help. We have been so extraordinarily fortunate and grateful that so many people have been thinking about and helping out my dad's medical costs. This is so hard for me to ask for help, but we will beat this no matter what. Unfortunately, the timing could not be more unlucky. No parent should have to watch their child go through something like this, especially when one of the said parents is also going through such a severe health issue.
Thank you to every one of you who has contributed to my dad's GoFundMe, and thank you again if you can help out at all with Emily's upcoming treatment. Lastly, thank you to anyone else who may help. You are unbelievable, and it's so comforting to see so many people rally to help someone in need.
I am sorry to those close to our family who are reading this in disbelief. Yea, we can't believe it either, but let's focus on beating this and getting these health issues behind us. The Saizs need a break and a better year next year.
Thank you all, and much love to all of your families.
