I have had Emily for almost half of my life. I got her when she was 10 months old from a shelter, and she turns 15 this month. She's been with me through everything, good and bad since I was in my mid teens. She's been one of my biggest rocks, and a huge source of comfort and joy.

Recently she was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. This is not something that can be reversed. She's doing well for the moment, but there are definitely some medical costs that will be on the regular now. They don't know how much time she could have, it varies case-by-case. I just want to keep her happy and comfortable with me for as long as I can.

The costs are adding up already, as you can see from just one appointment in the photos. I've spent over $500 in the last few weeks for appointments and medicine. I have to take her back every 2 months, and that costs $200 every time. Add her medications on top of it (which will likely increase in number over time). I hate to ask, but I need all the help I can get for my baby. I don't want to lose her prematurely just because I can't afford otherwise.
