Emily’s leg lengthening journey
Donation protected
Emily is coming up on her 4th and hopefully final lengthening. This will be surgery number 21 for her at just 14 years old. This will take Emily and I (mom) over a thousand miles away from home for about 4 months. Though we are very thankful for the opportunity to lengthen her leg, it is extremely hard on the family physically, emotionally and financially. We are separated for months at a time creating costs to support two households (we pay to rent an apartment while there) along with any medical bills not covered by insurance. PT is daily with weekly MD visits, X-rays, meds and more. We have tried to save these costs on our own but it has grown increasingly more difficult. It’s always tough to ask for help. Please know that we appreciate every penny that will help relieve some of the burden we bare with every lengthening journey. We are always so thankful for any support!
