Hi all,
I kno this sounds really cheeky. But I considered and it feels impossible to do in the time before she’s finally allowed home So….I’m writing this message in the hope you could help me in some kind of way.
As u kno, my daughterEmily has been in hospital since the beginning of February trying to learn to walk again as she has the AMSAN version of Guillain-Barré syndrome - a very rare illness and a scarcely known version. To go from a dancer for 22 years, to being unable to walk, is devastating for her. And for us to see.
She is going to be moving into her own property soon, I’d like to have it carpeted and floored, and decorated for her to make her feel like it’s home. Plus she has absolutely nothing. Like, zilch. I kno there are grants available for white goods, but I’m thinking more of the things they don’t cover. Plates, cooking utensils, saucepans, kettle, tv and stand, coffee table, curtains, bedding etc… So I’m attempting this whip round to see if we can help get our Emily smiling again and give her the items she needs so she can leave hospital. If you could help, all donations will add up and no amount is too small. (I would do a sponsored head shave but I get married in 5 weeks)
Please help our Emily. She feels so alone and scared about how she will continue on her recovery once let out. If you can’t I’m truly grateful for reading my message and I do understand this is cheeky and everyone’s skint. I’m just reaching out. Oh and I’m not targeting £500 that’s the minimum the page allows for when setting up.
Kindest regards and much love
Jenni (for Emily)
