Hi, my name is Lori and I'm a lindy hop dancer, teacher, organizer, etc. with many hats in the San Francisco Bay Area. You might know that the SF Bay Area is one of the most expensive places to live in the States, so housing issues are super stressful. Doubly so if you're trying to raise a family here. Add to that a landlord who has mismanaged your rental to the point where MOLD and SEWAGE are seeping into the walls and floors, destroying your belongings and threatening everyone's health. That's when you realize you need to move out RIGHT NOW and without ANY OF YOUR STUFF.

That's the situation of dear dancer Emily Daubenmire Zile, who was just laid off from work and is raising two small children, Kilian (3yo) and Aurora (5 mos), with her husband Andrew.

I've created this gofundme with the modest goal of covering what one month's rent might be for a two-bedroom apartment in the Bay Area.
