Emily’s Car Was Stolen
Donation protected
Hey guys, I’ve had some tough luck over the last year and Brittany and all of my amazing friends put together a go fund me to help me out when I was in a tough spot.
I wanted to put together a Go fund Me for Emily Corcoran. If you have gotten to know Emily you know how caring of a person she is to everyone. Emily goes out of her own way for the people she cares about all of the time and always brightens up a room full of friends.
If you know Emily personally, you also know she has had a pretty wild year. I don’t need to get into her diagnosis, she has held up such a positive attitude in this regard and has set such a great example on perseverance during tough times.
I put this together to help Emily buy a car, basically. Emily has not been able to return to work for months, and just before she was on her way to visit friends for St Patrick’s Day her car was stolen. Fuckers. Pardon my French. Emily has a rental car for now, which her insurance has provided for a short period of time. If her car is not found she will be payed out by her insurance company, but her vehicle is old and holds little value. So she most likely will not see much to put towards a “new” vehicle.
I’m sure whatever we can round up and gift to Emily would lift her spirits immensely. I’d like to keep this a secret (surprise) for Emily if possible for a few weeks and then present it to her, I’m not sure how yet. Facebook? Get together? Suggestions!?
Also, I realize there are other ways to raise money for this sort of thing. But I thought Go fund Me was pretty effective and easy to use when it came down to it.
Don’t feel pressured to donate money, heart felt messages go a very long way. And if anyone has any other ideas, or criticisms for how I’ve arranged this please let me know.
Fuck Cancer and Fuck car thieves Love you Emily!
