Youth Mentoring Action Network (YMAN) is a youth power-building organization located in Claremont, California, whose mission is to facilitate transformative mentoring, education, and wellness opportunities with young people across the globe. This organization provides a place for young people to pursue what’s important to them as change agents in their schools and their communities.

 

YMAN’s Guiding Principles highlight the importance of centering youth voices and allowing young people to create, thrive, and grow as youth entrepreneurs and movement leaders. As a young person, Emily was outspoken and opinionated. She stood up for others and challenged the idea that young people's beliefs or experiences were less valuable than adults'.

 

Over the past few years, we have been introduced to organizations that resonate with Emily’s passions and interests. This year, we invite you to support three incredible organizations located across the country. Although varied in mission, these organizations contribute to their local communities in powerful ways and provide safe spaces for all.
