Dear Friends, Family and Generous Hearts,
We’re reaching out to you today with a humble and heartfelt request for support during an incredibly difficult time for The Elam Family.
On Christmas Day, their sweet 14-year-old daughter Emily collapsed, suffering cardiac arrest. Bob, her Dad, saved her life by performing CPR until first responders arrived at their new home in Coldwater, MS. The flight crew brought Emily to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, in Memphis, TN. She was intubated for 3½ days in ICU and diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy with left ventricular non-compaction.
By God’s grace, skilled medical care and countless prayers, Emily was discharged with a vest defibrillator on New Year’s Eve. Now home after days with a serious heart diagnosis, she will continue her recovery with required medical care, therapy and close monitoring.
Emily is the second oldest of five children, the youngest being just two years old. Bob is the sole breadwinner, and Ceitleen is their devoted, homeschooling mom. As Emily’s care continues, hospital bills, testing, treatments, therapies, medication, and unforeseen expenses are significant. A sudden medical emergency like this puts tremendous stress on a family.
We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden so both Bob and Ceitleen, can focus fully on Emily’s recovery. Please join us in praying boldly for Emily’s complete healing, lifting The Elam Family up and consider giving as you feel led. Every donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With Gratitude,
